It’s 2018. Yay!!
It was in 2016 when we first put money down on our Clarendon Home, building commenced in 2017, and here we are in 2018 and still NO home!!
We don’t feel very happy. Infact, we’re deflated, disappointed, angry and today feeling incensed.
Our house has sat idle for 3 weeks, construction teams came back on board on the 15th January, and we’ve driven past our house countless times knowing that nothing was happening, that it is 98% ready and yet it is still not ours.
Apparently we are a priority. Apparently they’ve got trades all over it. Apparently…
We did however receive an email today letting us know of the schedule of works, what’s happened the last couple of days, what is going to happen the next couple of days, and that we have another PCI on Tuesday morning with the hope to have handover on Thursday 25th January.
We stopped by the house this evening, and from what we saw, we’re not too hopeful. Some of the mortar holes have had new mortar applied, but it seems to be a different colour. The mortar is off-white, but what’s been applied looks grey.
We hope we’re wrong!
It’s going to be a long week. We’re both beyond stressed.
We’ve also decided, if it doesn’t happen right, we’ll follow the chain of command within Clarendon Homes but we are also going to speak to the Department of Fair Trading NSW. Enough is enough. If you can’t commit to the attention to detail, then the premium should reflect that, and our financial investment tells us otherwise.
Crap way to start the new year!
